The MM3575 series are protection ICs designed using a high-voltage CMOS process, specifically for safeguarding rechargeable Lithium-ion and Lithium-polymer batteries. They provide protection against overcharge, overdischargedischarge overcurrent, charge overcurrent, and cell imbalance. The ICs can monitor and protect battery packs consisting of 3 to 5 cells, and they also detect V5 to V3 pin disconnection. For battery packs with 6 or more cells, cascade connection is supported. Additionally, a voltage regulator can be configured using an external N-channel MOSFET. The internal circuitry includes a voltage detector, a reference voltage source, a delay-time control circuit, and a logic circuit, among other components.
