Token Electronics power wirewound enameled resistor DRB20 consists of a cylindrical ceramic core with clips at both ends for connection to fixed terminals. A resistance wire made of copper-nickel or nickel-chromium alloy is wound around the ceramic tube. The surface is coated with a moisture-resistant, heat-resistant, non-corrosive, and non-flammable material, such as silicone, epoxy, cement, or glazed porcelain. After high-temperature treatment, the resistor is dried, the insulation is stabilized, and a fixed-leg frame is installed. Thanks to its excellent flexibility, the DRB20 can be manufactured in various configurations, including multi-terminal types, low inductance resistors and semi-adjustable. The resistance range extends from 1.7Ω to 75kΩ, with power ratings from 8W to 500W, and an optional tolerance accuracy of ±1%, ±5% or ±10%. The size of the cylindrical ceramic tube complies with industry standards.The DRB20 tubular series power-glazed wirewound resistors are widely used as braking, bleeder, aging, or load resistors. The non-inductive models adopt the Ayrton–Perry winding method to eliminate parasitic inductance, thereby minimizing inductive effects. This makes them suitable for high energy dissipation and high-temperature environments. Protected by a glazed coating, the DRB20 resistor offers excellent resistance to external mechanical stress and dust, combined with efficient heat dissipation. The DRB20 is easy to install and operate, making it suitable for a wide range of applications. Compared with similar products, it delivers more than 1.2 times the power capacity under equivalent specifications and can withstand long-term loading and impact conditions.
