Designed using a high-voltage CMOS process, MinebeaMitsumi ICs provide comprehensive protection for rechargeable Lithium-ion and Lithium-polymer batteries. They protect against overcharge, overdischarge, overcurrent during charging and discharging, as well as short circuits. They integrate four voltage detectors, a short-circuit detection circuit, reference voltage sources, an oscillator, a counter circuit, and logic circuits to ensure reliable and efficient battery protection. The MQC883 series is a protection IC for 2-series cell Li-ion/Li-polymer batteries. It monitors abnormal temperatures using an external thermistor to protect both the battery pack and the system. The IC features a battery voltage sensing terminal connected directly to the system side, enabling accurate cell voltage monitoring without being affected by the impedance of the protection circuit. This feature ensures safer and more reliable fast-charging control.
MQC883 features :
- Range and accuracy of detection voltage
- Low current consumption
