MinebeaMitsumi's linear regulators (LDOs) features products that take advantage of the strengths of both CMOS and bipolar processes : they support output currents from 100 mA to 1.5 A and offer additional functions such as soft start, reverse current protection and auto discharge, as well as output current detection, temperature sensor output and other special functions are available. MinebeaMitsumi MM4051 is a 1A Low Dropout Regulator (LDO) featuring overcurrent detection and an automatic retry function (OCP auto-retry). The overcurrent detection threshold can be set via an external sense resistor (Rsc), and an error flag is asserted when the load current exceeds this threshold. The OCP auto-retry function allows the device to intermittently enter and exit protection mode, significantly reducing heat generation during overcurrent events.
