MinebeaMitsumi's load switch ICs are switching devices that enable ON/OFF control of power supply lines while providing overcurrent protection. In addition to overcurrent protection, they also integrate features such as reverse current protection, making it well-suited for protecting power systems in a wide range of applications. MinebeaMitsumi MM4009 is a load switch IC with a built-in overcurrent protection function, designed to meet HDMI power supply requirements (5V, 300mA) and other applications. It supports load currents up to 300mA. When the output current exceeds the threshold, MM4009 switches to constant current mode, limits the output and protects both the load and the input source from abnormal conditions. It also has a built-in soft start function to suppress inrush current and prevent voltage drops. A reverse current protection mechanism activates when the output voltage exceeds the input voltage, making it possible to protect the input device. Certified to the IEC62368-1 safety standard , MM4009 is appropriate for protecting power system circuits across a wide range of applications.
