MinebeaMitsumi's discharge IC includes a function that rapidly discharges the output capacitance of the power supply IC. It consists of a transistor and an inverter, allowing it to control the power-down sequence in coordination with the enable signal of the power supply IC. MinebeaMitsumi MM3818 is designed to rapidly discharge the electric charge stored in capacitors when the power supply is turned off. It can be used to simultaneously shut down multiple power supply of micro-computers, SoCs, and image sensors. The IC features three outputs, with various configuration options available through external connections.
