The MM3766 series are protection ICs designed using a high-voltage CMOS process to provide overcharge, overdischarge, and overcurrent protection for rechargeable lithium-ion or lithium-polymer batteries. These ICs can monitor overcharge, overdischarge, and discharge conditions in two-cell lithium-ion or lithium-polymer battery packs. Each IC integrates four voltage detectors, a short-circuit detection circuit, reference voltage sources, an oscillator, a counter circuit, and logic circuits.
