MinebeaMitsumi's charge control ICs are suitable for charging single-cell Li-ion and Li-polymer batteries and ensure stable charging through highly accurate voltage and current regulation. High safety is achieved through multiple protection features, including battery temperature monitoring via an external thermistor and a built-in charging timer. Additionally, the wide range of supported charging voltages and currents enables flexible system design, allowing compatibility with various battery types. MinebeaMitsumi MM3659 is a 4.5A switch-mode charge controller with an integrated power path and USB OTG support. Its synchronous rectification and switching charge control enable low heat generation while delivering high-efficiency system power and battery charging. By integrating key peripheral  components, it eliminates the need for costly current-sense resistors, external power MOSFETs, and reverse-current protection diodes, significantly reducing component count. Furthermore, power management, system drive, and charge control are all consolidated into a single chip, helping to streamline the design process and reduce development time.
