Designed using a high-voltage CMOS process, MinebeaMitsumi ICs provide comprehensive protection for rechargeable Lithium-ion and Lithium-polymer batteries. They protect against overcharge, overdischarge, overcurrent during charging and discharging, as well as short circuits. They integrate four voltage detectors, a short-circuit detection circuit, reference voltage sources, an oscillator, a counter circuit, and logic circuits to ensure reliable and efficient battery protection. The MM3508B series are dual protection ICs designed for 2- to 4-cell lithium-ion or lithium-polymer secondary batteries. They monitor the voltage of each individual cell. Each IC integrates four voltage detectors, reference voltage sources, an oscillator, a counter circuit, and logic circuits.
