They integrate four voltage detectors, a short-circuit detection circuit, reference voltage sources, an oscillator, a counter circuit, and logic circuits to ensure reliable and efficient battery protection. The MC3761 series are protection ICs with integrated MOSFETs, designed to protect rechargeable lithium-ion or lithium-polymer batteries. They provide detection and protection against overcharge, overdischarge, and overcurrent during both charging and discharging, specifically for single-cell lithium-ion or lithium-polymer batteries.
