A tubular ceramic body with two terminals is wound with copper or chromium alloy round wire to form the resistance element. The component is coated with a non-flammable resin that withstands high temperatures. Insulation is applied through a high-temperature process, and mounting hardware is attached. Thanks to Token Electronics's advanced winding technology, multiple taps can be added, low impedance is maintained, and the shape can be customized to produce a variety of types.
Features:
- Fixed, adjustable, or tapped styles
- Special terminals for unusual applications.
- Single and double quick-connect terminals available
- Standard lug terminals available, with or without terminal hardware
- Custom temperature coefficients, resistance tolerances, and resistance values available
- Non-inductive Ayrton-Perry type winding formats available; refer to the DRS series when needed
- Standard resistance tolerances : ±5% and ±10%; tighter tolerances available
- Resistance wire spot-welded to the terminal bands, then securely bonded to the core using a silicone, cement, or vitreous enamel coating
