Gel batteries present distinct advantages compared to conventional acid models, notably in terms of thermal stability, deep discharge capacities and very good regeneration. Even if your battery is discharged for thirty days, it will regain 100% of its capacities, unlike conventional models. They contain an electrolyte gel, which prevents the sulphation which affects the majority of liquid batteries. The level of corrosion of the grids is very low. Gel batteries also eliminate the vibrations which are liable to damage the lead plates. |
This type of advantage provides gel batteries with an increased service life and they are especially suitable for the traction motors found for example in golf buggies, vacuum cleaners, forklift trucks and all similar products. The charge/deep discharge cycle is increased by 50% compared to conventional models. Furthermore, as it does not have any liquid inside it, there will not be any accidental spillage, thus allowing these batteries to be easily installed anywhere. |
